This week was the lead up to Christmas which landed on Friday. Due to this, my supervisor gave me two instead of 3 posts to write. The keyword that both of these focused on were "logical reasoning test."
These posts took me about 10 hours each to complete. I learnt to use the Contenteum tool, which generates free SEO briefings and learnt about Ghost for when I start writing posts for the company website.
While this week, I continued to learn about blogging, SEO and using software tools; what has really stuck with me is how Covid-19 is affecting India and my colleagues.
Talking to my supervisor every day and having an hour-long video call on Mondays means we learn about each other on a personal level. This week we talked about Christmas celebrations, and I realized how much I have taken for granted New Zealand's size and covid-19 situation.
My colleagues are still unable to leave their homes, cases are increasing, and a vaccine is unlikely to reach people, especially those in the countryside, for years. I can only imagine how stressful and scary it must be.
This week has taught me about teamwork and leadership in a way that you can't learn in a classroom. The team's perseverance, combined with the added responsibility of coaching an intern, shows passion and is inspiring.
